The 2nd edition of the ISF Martyrs Race, organised by RRA in partnership with the ISF, took place on 29 March 2009. The 19K running race started in Hamra and finished at Dbayeh. The first male runner, Hussein Awada (Lebanese Army), arrived in 1h 2m 11s and the fastest female runner, Esen Nilay (RRA) who came from Turkey to compete in the race, was not far behind at 1h 12m 39s. |

A total of 240 runners completed the race and we were pleased to see a large number of UNIFIL participants. Congratulations to all on your well deserved medals! We would like to thank the sponsors: Medgulf, Banque du Liban, and Casino du Liban. The awards ceremony took place at the ISF Al-Fohoud Barracks Club, where trophies for the men’s and women’s 1st overall, the 1st three ISF runners, and the 1st three in each age category were distributed. |
