After nearly 5 months of having been paralyzed by a law suit against them, the Lebanese Athletic Federation's newly elected board of management was deemed legal and legitimate by the competent court which validated the outcome of the elections. Despite the fact that the initiator of the law suit may appeal against the court decision, the board of management is now fully operational and will challenge any potential appeal from its Dekwaneh premises.

It was about time that this was resolved, especially since track & field will be the main attraction at the "Jeux de la Francophonie" which takes place in Beirut later this year (27 September - 6 October). Hopefully, the Federation will soon set the trial rules and selection criteria for the track & field team which will represent Lebanon at the forthcoming games.
